Our Story

Established in 2020, Western Cape Construction and Utilities Group is a UK-based construction, surveying, project management and property services company with strong South African roots.

The name Western Cape originates from founder Regan Craig’s home region of South Africa, while the company logo pays tribute to one of Cape Town’s most recognisable landmarks, the iconic Table Mountain.

What began with a strong foundation in construction and utilities has since developed into a multidisciplinary business supporting residential, commercial and infrastructure clients across South Wales, South West England and further afield.

Our experience spans construction management, project management, building and property surveying, property inspection and specialist consultancy services. This combination of practical construction experience, technical surveying knowledge and project delivery expertise allows us to support clients throughout the full lifecycle of a property or project — from initial inspection and planning through to procurement, coordination, delivery and completion.

In August 2026, the Group continued its expansion with the establishment of Western Cape Surveyors (PTY) Ltd in South Africa. The new subsidiary has been formed to provide surveying and related property services within the South African market, marking an important milestone in the growth of the Western Cape brand and bringing the business back to the country that originally inspired its name.

This expansion reflects our ambition to continue developing Western Cape into a multidisciplinary surveying, project management and property consultancy with an international presence, while maintaining the practical, personal and professional approach on which the business was founded.

At the heart of WCG is a straightforward philosophy: provide professional advice, communicate clearly and deliver a dependable service from the initial enquiry through to completion.

We continue to invest in our people, professional qualifications, technology and specialist services as the Group grows, ensuring our clients benefit from technical expertise, practical construction knowledge and effective project management.

Today, Western Cape Construction and Utilities Group works with homeowners, property professionals, developers, businesses, contractors and organisations across a broad range of projects in the UK, while Western Cape Surveyors (PTY) Ltd represents the next stage of our growth within South Africa.
